Layne Adams from Ralls, TX on DP 1044 B2RF in 2010
I planted around 800 acres of DP 1044 B2RF in my fields this year, all of it dryland. It was a rough year weather-wise, with a ton of rain early, some dryness, then lots of rain late in the season. DP 1044 B2RF was the best yielding dryland cotton we planted, yielding close to two bales an acre with excellent grades. I will plant more DP 1044 B2RF in my fields next year. When you plant 800 acres of a variety, you demand it to be stormproof. I was impressed with how DP 1044 B2RF held up to the tough weather we had this year. The lint stayed in the burr and the crops yielded exceptionally well for a dryland cotton. Our dryland cotton was exceptional this year because of DP 1044 B2RF.
