Michael Gibson from Centenary, SC on DP 1048 B2RF in 2010
I used to grow the old DP 555 BG/RR. These new Deltapine varieties are much more farmer-friendly in terms of being easy to manage with plant growth regulators. I had a good growing season in 2010 for cotton and other crops. DP 1048 B2RF showed good yield in 2010. I averaged 2.1 bales per acre across all my Deltapine varieties, but DP 1048 B2RF was my leading Deltapine variety, making 2-1/2 bales per acre. I plan to plant more DP 1048 B2RF in 2011.
